Something I still consider utterly disturbing about MacOS is that any application quite casually asks for your admin password to gain privileged access to your stuff and there is no UX separation to make it clear that this is an OS window vs. any application window.

MacOS sounds like spoofing heaven in that regard.

Windows has the UAC, GNOME has its privileged dialogues, KDE has its kauth dialogues.

Why does MacOS not manage to make a visual separation here?

@sheogorath Do you remember how much shit Vista ate just for the UAC alone?

It's a very important thing, but people found it annoying. I bet this has something to do with it.
