@Gargron I've been looking for the "docker build" CI step around the tootsuite/mastodon repository and was unable to find it. I would like to provide a PR that sets some labels for official builds to enable automatic changelog discovery and alike, but yeah, so far I was unsuccessful to find the right config. Would you be so nice and point me to the right file?
…and as of today, there's more people on Matrix channel than there ever was on IRC. Thanks everyone!
Luca-App: Jeden Tag einer neuer Knaller.
Heute: Die Betreiber von Check-In-Orten sollen freiwillig ihre privaten Schlüssel hochladen.
🇬🇧Majority of European Parliament Committee allows e-mail, messaging and chat providers to indiscriminately search all private messages for allegedly illegal material and report to the police, using error-prone algorithms and #AI (#chatcontrol). https://www.patrick-breyer.de/en/chat-control-civil-liberties-committee-to-vote-on-searching-all-private-messages-for-allegedly-illegal-material/ (1/3)
The Flatpak/Flathub community migrates to the Matrix side of life :)
Meet us at: #flatpak:matrix.org
I'm really looking forward to see everyone around and never have to worry about NickServ again.
Seems like Muse is currently trying to powering through the Audacity community resistance to changes.
They reconsidered the telemetry topic, but now it's about money that is made with proprietary versions of the code, which they won't give up that easily.
Unless some people will stand up and fork the project, maybe even build a company around it, I think they will manage to do it and reuse the GPL code in their proprietary mobile apps thanks to the new CLA.
Why is github so bad....?! And why keep people using it?! Just let me attach basic image/video formats to a ticket that are necessary to reproduce an issue. 🤦♂️
Svg's don't work, webm's don't work, videos are only supported since recently anyway 🙄.
And yes, all of this works in gitlab.
Please stop using github for your projects, it's bad.
Let me just say it loud and clear:
1. #Taiwan is a country. 🇹🇼

Hi all, Geary is looking for a co-maintainer!
@mjog doesn't have enough time to to do it all by themselves any more, and so is looking for a hand in taking care of day-to-day tasks such as bug triaging and fixing, and working on improving the front-end side of the app in particular.
If you're interested, take a look at the issue tracker, and pitch on in!
If you have any questions, please thread them below or get in touch with @mjog 👇
E-Mail-Adresse validieren? Easy, alles zu Kleinbuchstaben machen, am @ auftrennen, vorne ist der local part alle Buchstaben erlaubt, hinten muss eine gültige DNS-Domain stehen, fertig. Well … it's complicated: https://www.netmeister.org/blog/email.html
Spend some time on the weekend to modernise the Element flatpak:
There are still a few rough edges, but I like the shape it's taking :)
Our team at @RedHat is looking for a (remote) Senior Software Engineer with a background in Virtualization and Storage, to help us build things such as the Rust re-implementation of the virtio-fs daemon.

I mean, I said it before and will gladly say it again, my take on the whole thing is: Take the opportunity and modernise your project's communication infrastructure. Given the shape of IRC in 2021, it's very likely that IRC is no longer the way to go.
With most projects we made very good experiences with hosting them on the matrix network. However, it might not fit for your community.
I'm a professional relationship therapist for programs and their users.
This is my personal microblog. It's filled with my fun, joy and silliness.
